What is the timeline for this project?

GM Canada has submitted its development application to develop the site and is moving through the City of Toronto application approvals process which will determine the timeline.

 

When does construction start?

GM Canada is working with its partners, the City, and the community to proceed with the project as quickly as possible.

 

Is there going to be more traffic in the area because of the project?

GM Canada undertook a traffic study as part of the development application process and is working with the City to manage traffic impacts as a result of this and other developments in the area.

The application proposes a new public street that will connect Eastern Avenue to Lake Shore Boulevard. The new street will have ample landscaped sidewalks on each side with new trees and plantings.

 

How much of this site is a car dealership?

We are anticipating that the dealership component will represent an estimated 39% of the Toronto GM Mobility Campus and less than 6% of the total development project.

The Toronto GM Mobility Campus was conceived and designed to have a seamless experience between the office and R&D engineering spaces, sales and service, and public education spaces.

 

What’s happening with the studio uses on the Site?

GM Canada has extended the lease of the current tenant, Cinespace Film Studios, to facilitate continued production while this application goes through the City’s approvals process.
